She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Anderson and Harriet Anderson (Nygaard); and her sister Jerdis Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Duane Tollefson; her children, Sara Currell (Dan) and Erik Tollefson (Tungyi Chang); her grandchildren, Annika and Tollef Currell; her siblings, Annie Hurley (Donald), Myron Anderson (Dianne DePree) and Leon Anderson (Lisa); and her brother-in-law Lonnie Thornton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mount Olivet Careview Home, where LaVerne was well cared for in the final months of her life.
