We bid farewell to LaVonne Fae Gilbertson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 14, 2025 at the age of 75. LaVonne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gilbertson and Arleen Gilbertson; her sister Karen Damlo; her great-nephew Julian Anderson; and her grandparents, Alfred, Doris Johnson, Mamie and John Gilbertson.
She is survived by: her sister Linda Stebbins (Ken); her brother-in-law Russ Damlo; her niece Sarah Damlo; her great-nephew Liam Anderson; her nephew Christopher Damlo (Stephanie); her great-nephews, Gavin, Sawyer and Charlie; her nephew Stephen Damlo (Katie); her great-niece Kaylee; and her great-nephews, Nolan, Connor and Lukas. She is also survived by many cousins and two aunts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in Vonnie's memory, the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, or the Golden Valley Humane Society. Alzheimer's disease ultimately claimed her life, but her legacy lives on in the causes she cherished-caring for others, appreciating the beauty of nature, and her love for animals, especially cats.
