He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter "Bert" Orr and Rose Orr; his wife Lauretta Orr; his siblings, William Orr (Beverly), Rosemary Ekelund (Charlie) and John Orr; and his grandsons, Nikolaus Schechter and Jacob Rawson.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Orr (Tom), Joseph Orr, Monica Schechter (Stan), Michelle Orr (Alan), Michael Orr, Laura Acker (Josh), Linda Gessner (Bryce), Wanda Rawson (Terry), Brenda Johnson (Kirk), Todd Bourassa (Joyce) and Tina Bourassa; his grandchildren, Zachary Rawson (Suzanne), Brittany Haeg (Joe), Megan Shook (Dylan), Aaron Rawson, Sarah Johnson (Ethan), Ruth Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Piper Bourassa, Julia Bourassa, Miles Bourassa, Silas Acker, Micah Acker, Rainer Acker, Otto Gessner, Gwendolyn Gessner, Makaila Orr, Andrew Schechter (Faith), Alex Schechter and Madie Schechter (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Athena Tabor, Sydney Rawson, Juliette Rawson, Owen, Eleanor, David Haeg, Madelyn, Henry Shook and Bodie Schechter.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of the Sacred Heart (4050 Hubbard Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Larry's honor to Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, MN or De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, MN.
