Leona Mary Copeland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mary Copeland (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her parents, Frank Matros and Anna Matros (Jendro); her siblings, George, Joe, Damus Matros and Dorothy Buchite; and her grandsons, Thaddeus Copeland and Patrick Theiler.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Theiler Rousu (Steve), Danielle Bethke (Charlie), Jim Copeland (Terry), Tom Copeland (Colleen) and Todd Copeland; her brothers, Norbert "Toby" and Frank Matros; and her brother-in-law Buck Buchite. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
