With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melanie Lea Spears of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Owen Morgan and Phyllis Albertina Morgan (Barry); her husband George Spears Sr.; and her siblings, Matthew and Meredith.

She is survived by: her friend Nita Losey; her children, Gary Spears, Chester Spears (Gabriela), George Spears Jr. (Rhia), Joseph Spears, Corrina Spears, Melody Iron Eaglefeather (Levi) and Chanella Godinez (Alejandro); and her siblings, Mark Morgan, Mary Ziegler, Melissa Morgan and Margaret Sanchez. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
