Michael Dougherty Obituary

We bid farewell to Michael Dougherty (Minneapolis, Minnesota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Dougherty and Alice W. Dougherty; and his brothers, Tom and William "Bill" Dougherty. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Dougherty (Stevens); his daughters, Sarah Dougherty Rekas (Bret) and Mollie Dougherty; his grandchildren, Jacques of Carbonnieres, Thomas of Carbonnieres, William Rekas, Michael Rekas, Kate Rekas and Sophie of Carbonnieres; and his sister Susan Mickey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Michael's honor to the Dougherty Family College at the University of St. Thomas.
