It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelle Marie Rock (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar J. Staples and Phyllis Rock; her significant other James Ortley Sr.; her daughter Juanita Rock; her grandparents, Genevieve and Michael Badboy; her aunt Paulette Rock; and her uncle Terrance Rock.
She is survived by: her brothers, David Holzner, Richard Schulman and Benjamin Fineday; her children, Kelly, Dion Hough and Lorenzo Vossen; and her aunts and uncles, Aaron Rock, Simon Rock Jr., Patricia Fineday, Janice Stephenson, Debra Rock, Sandra Yasger and Beverly Gallup. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center (2300 15th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55404). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
