She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Samuels and Effie Samuels; her husband Bob; her brother Paul Samuels; and her grandson Lorin Robert Shipps.

She is survived by: her children, Teri Shipps (Stephen), Robert Carlson Jr. (Gregg Larson), David Carlson (Lisa) and Bruce Carlson (Kathryn Didier); and her grandchildren, Lindsay Haake (Dan), Grant Carlson (Sarah Lagerstedt), Taylor Sajous (Andy), Blake Carlson, Brent Carlson (Natalie), Wade Carlson (Kelli), Brady Carlson (Jessica), Kelly Dahl (Ben) and Zac Hansen. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
