He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Ann Ball; and his siblings, Donald Aldrich, Glenna A. Hopper and J. Kenneth Aldrich. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Shirley Hudson of Otsego, MN and Harlan Ball Jr. of Annandale, MN; and his nieces and nephews, Catherine G. Hopper of Lyme, NH, Judith A. Ramsdell of Manchester, CT, Charles J. Hopper of Charlottesville, VA and Douglas Aldrich of Toone, TN. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
He retired only when the COVID-19 pandemic struck and, even then, his favorite place to sit was near the front door of the Residence, where he could greet folks coming and going.
