He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Vander Vegte; his grandparents, Richard, Helen Van Wyk, Edward and Elvina Vander Vegte; his uncles, Don Vander Vegte, Rod Vande Griend, Walt De Blauw and Leroy Schwarz; and his aunt Phyllis Vande Griend.
He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Vander Vegte; his wife Amy Hays; and his siblings, Stuart Vander Vegte (Sarah Rohret) and Emily Chute (Christopher Chute). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (6201 N Osgood Ave, Stillwater, MN 55082). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
