He was predeceased by: his wife Margit; and his siblings, Percy, Benjamin, Luella and Jewel.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Ferguson (Thomas) and Thomas Hong (Tina); and his grandchildren, Jill Thorne (James), Andrew Ferguson (Ashley), David Hong (Anna), Joseph Ferguson (Amanda) and Jeffrey Hong. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
