She was predeceased by: her husband Mel Maisel; and her brothers, Marvin, Elliott (Rosanne) and Ira. She is survived by: her children, Adrienne (Michael Hugo) and Andrew Maisel (Vickey Weir). She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to NPR or to a charity of the donor's choice in Renee's honor.
