He was predeceased by: his mother Loretta Smith. He is survived by: his father Earnest Smith; his siblings, Earnest Jr., Debra and Jane; his children, Brandyn (Ashley), Taylor, Madison and Sage; his grandchildren, Aryana, Damien, Ava, Brooklyn and Brayden; and his nieces, Lacy and Tana.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gichitwaa Kateri Catholic Church (3045 Park Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026.
