He was predeceased by: his wife Mary (Schroeder); his son Joel; his son-in-law Steve Smith; his parents, Leo Meysenburg and Anita Meysenburg (Koehler) of David City, NE; and his siblings, Thomas, Richard, Jerome, Arnold and Rosemary (Reiter).
He is survived by: his children, Claire, Tony (Sarah) and Peter (Amanda Morgan); his grandchildren, Odin, Isla and Adrien; his siblings, Leo, James and Julianne Hardy; and his sister-in-law Helen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
In his later years, he dealt with Parkinson's Disease. He always spoke with his kids of how much he enjoyed the visits from family, friends, and loved ones, even if the Parkinson's made it harder for his smile and joy to be seen on his face during visits with him.
