He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Emma; his daughter Susan; his son-in-law Danny Woodard; his brother Wayne; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Hickey, Cleone, Nils Brustuen, Merlin, DeLores Rau, Donald Rau, Leo, Naomi Miller, Herman and Geraldine Maanum.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his son Paul; his children-in-law, Tricia Hickey and Kirk Rothenberger; his grandchildren, Angela Woodard (Nate Casey), Ariana Woodard (Aaron Savold), Danny Woodard (Sarah), Beck Weinzetl and Chris Hickey (Michele); his great grandchildren, Dominic, Georgia, Maggie, Abigail and Savannah; and his sister-in-law Lois Rau. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces.
