He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Jayne; his parents, Frank and Clara; and his brother-in-law Robert Lind (Bob). He is survived by: his children, John (Ceres Parsons), Robert (Caroline), Maria Anundson (David) and Paul (Carol); his grandchildren, Ciara, Jared, Dakota, McKenzie (Zachary Mills), Olivia, Justin Riegel (Megan), Jaclyn Enberg (Phillip), Blair Riegel (Sara), Alyssa Kahnke (Matthew), Cameron, Macie, Grant, Nicolos (Kimberly Ho'ang), Andrew and Garret; his great grandchildren, Emma, Jacob, Polly, Dottie and Kennedy; his siblings, Denis (Arlene), John (Kathryn), Marguerite Lind and Kathryn Loch (Thomas); and his niece Amy Hanson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint John Neumann (4030 Pilot Knob Rd, Eagan, MN 55122). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Recreation Department at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Wayne's Honor.
