He is survived by: his children, John Leo Cavanaugh (Sarah Colson) of Oberlin, OH, Mary Thompson (Mike) of Dublin, OH and Peg Cavanaugh of Woodbury, MN.; his grandchildren, Katherine, Sophia, Nora Cavanaugh (Teo Rocchiccioli), Madeleine, William Thompson, Drew and Leo Klitzke; and his wife Margaret "Marjo" Cavanaugh (King).
