He was predeceased by: his brother Edward W. Chandler; his brother-in-law Raymond Johnston; and his nephew Andrew L Castine. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Chandler (Castine) of Snyder, NY; his children, Colleen, Patty, Sharon and Bill Jr.; his grandchildren, Michael (Courtney), Kevin (Lindsay), Connor, Teresa and William; his sister-in-law Patricia Johnston; his nephews, Jeff, Michael (Tricia) and Bob Johnston (Debbie); his brother-in-law Edward R Castine (Dawn); his nephews, Edward Jr. (Emmy), Kevin (Amy) and William Castine (Shana); and his siblings, Mary C Knight, Anne Caparros (Agustin) and John Cronin Jr. (Diane). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and Chandler nephews and niece.
After returning from military service, Dr. Chandler made innumerable contributions to the operations of SRC practice while serving as group president.
