Audrey Hammer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Audrey Hammer (Minneota, Minnesota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Audrey Hammer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Werner Nelson and Irene Nelson (McLaughlin); her husband Don; and her siblings, Bob Nelson, Kathleen Giefer and Joan Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Katie Deutz (Dan) of Lake Benton, Jeff Hammer (Mona) of Minneota, Todd Hammer (Hilary DeVlaeminck) of Minneota, Jean Sik (Ron) of Mankato, Gretchen Buysse (Dennis) of Minneota and Matthew Hammer of Mankato; and her brother Steve Nelson of Chaska. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (124 E 1st St, Minneota, MN 56264). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Prairie Home Hospice.
