He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Sr. and Alivina; his siblings, Vernon Jr., Loretta and Sandra; his son Jeffery; and his wife Gloria Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughter Joanne Lawrence (Michael); and his stepchildren, Brenda Freese (Curt), Roxanne Ebert (Sonny) and Frank Wilson (Sherrie). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Knoll Lutheran Church (600 County Road 73, Minnetonka, MN 55303).
