She was predeceased by: her mother Juliet Loomis Snavely Steen; her husband Richard Boemer; her father Joseph B. Steen, Sr.; and her siblings, Joseph B. Steen, Jr., Marjorie Schmitt and Frederick.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Karen Steen; her stepchildren, Pam Berzelius, Greg Boemer (Debbie), Tom Boemer (LeeAnn) and Jenny Spalding (Scott); her grandchildren, Katie Carewickham, Anna Berzelius, Rodney Boemer, Zack Boemer (Elisabeth), Dylan and Ryan Spalding; her nieces and nephews, Mark Steen (Debbie), Craig Steen, Joseph B. Steen III, Lisa Schmitt, Shari Schmitt and Jennifer Foster (Will); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan, Jacob, Emma, Julia Steen, William Foster and Nicole Gunther. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
