It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Nelson of Minnetonka, Minnesota, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Kosek and Vlasta Kosek; and her sister Ann Jeanette Kincaide. She is survived by : her former life partner Terry Nelson; her children, Dr. Lisa Ann Nelson and Owen Todd Nelson; her granddaughters, Eva Abramson and Isabella Trabraue of California; her brother Ernest Kosek (Susan); her nieces, Wendy, Stephanie, Brook, Jennifer and Angela; her nephew Geoff; and her friends, O. T. (Terry) and Judy Nelson.
