We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2023, at the age of 90, Peter Hefty Sammond of Minnetonka, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Frederic Charles and Marie Freitag Sammond; his wife Mary Kay Zagaria-Sammond; his children, Doug Sammond (Deanne), Karen Hoke (John) and David Sammond; his grandchildren, Andrew Sammond, Connor Sammond, J. Riley Hoke, Owen Hoke, Wyatt Hoke, Olivia Sammond and Nicolas Sammond; and his brother John Stowell Sammond.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of MN.
