He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Busch and Joseph Busch; his wife Shirley Busch (Hansen); his daughter Dana Busch; his parents-in-law, Helen Hansen and Andrew; his siblings-in-law, Ray Hansen, Celeste Burd and Virgil Hansen; and his sisters, Ruth Clancy, Rosita Johnson and Nora Bullock.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Fisher (David) of Minnetrista, MN, Laurie Busch of Minnetrista, MN, Dawn Pitts (Jim) of Masonville, IA, Debra Schulte (Dan) of Dyersville, IA and Chuck Busch (Veronica) of Johnston, IA; his grandchildren, Brianna (Cody), Bradley (Kristin), Daniel (Elizabeth), Isabel, Melinda, Austin, Christina (Chris) and Chad (Luis); and his great grandchildren, Mason, Calvin, Evelyn, Layla, Henry, Sarah, Shiloh, Jack, Jameson, Sadie, Preston and Sophia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (4025 Main St, St Bonifacius, MN 55375). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1111 Davis St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
