He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mooney and Ruby Mooney (Shuldt); his half-sisters, Jean Cleveland and Shirley Weingartner; and his niece Julia Hadrath.
He is survived by: his brother Danny; his daughter Jeanna Schmidt (Nathan) of Montevideo; his grandchildren, Morgan, Chase, Leighton Schmidt and Brother Danny Mooney (Rosalene) of Granite Falls; his close friend Stacey Hoidal of Montevideo; Quinn and Mackenzie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
