He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Spletter and Molly Spletter (Draeger) of Montevideo; his sister Jeanette Reinert; and his nephew Kim Reinert. He is survived by: his wife Carol Spielmacher (Hein); his children, Terry Spletter (Darlene) of Spicer, Sherry Hamann (Steve) of Holloway, Scott Spletter (Bo) of Wadena, Lori Perry of Parker, CO, Tammy Farmer of Hutchinson, Steve Spielmacher (Kim) of Kalamazoo, MI and Traci Rhode (Stan) of Clara City; and his niece Jan Lembeck. He is also survived by 7 children, 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Montevideo, CentraCare Hospice Team B, or the Montevideo American Legion Post 59.
