She was predeceased by: her parents, Enno Christians and Rosella Christians (Benson); her grandparents, John, Ida Christians, Fred and Ella Benson; and her sister Darlene Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband James Sandberg; her children, Dean, Pamela Monio of Apple Valley, MN and Julie Torkelson of Willmar, MN; and her siblings, Leslie Christians of Redwood Falls, MN and Beverly Hoppe of Raymond, MN. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
