He is survived by: his mother Myrna Athey (Anderson); his wife Tina; his daughter Jennifer Athey (Justin O'Malley); his grandchildren, Gavin Brouwer, Desiree Athey, Dominick Athey and Sylas O'Malley; and his siblings, Donna Arndt, Diane Bengston, Charlie Athey and Robert Terwedo.
