It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Refsland of Montevideo, Minnesota, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Celia Refsland; his spouse Shirley Couet; and his siblings, Harvey Refsland, Cecil Refsland (Alice), Russel Refsland (Marlys), Adella Cobb (Howard), Marcella Standfuss (Duane) and Vangie Grabow (LeRoy).
He is survived by: his children, Sharol Rude (Mike) of Brainerd, MN and Dean Refsland (Kelly) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Amanda Prachar (Eric), Chelsea Briones (Eleazer), Jordann James (Nick), Gabriel Gibson (Maddie), Cameron Refsland (Brittany) and Adam Refsland (Kayla); his stepgrandchildren, Brad Rude (Kael), Mitch Rude, Alec (Abi Seipke), Tyler Evans, Kayla Kunde (Kyle), Tanner Sifferath (Mary) and Karly Zeller (Brock); his great grandchildren, James, Makynlee, Eleazor III, Ian, Edith, Keira, Aiden, Memphis, Ledger, Braden, Cadence, Parker, Cason and Bennett; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Asher, Taeson, Mae, Ella, Sawyer, Stephen, Quinn and Beau. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
