We bid farewell to Jake LeRoy Jans of Montevideo, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 4, 2025 at the age of 81. Jake LeRoy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Jans and Winnie Jans (VanderVeen); his parents-in-law, John and Evelyn Marihart; his siblings-in-law, Stanley Harms and Ann Haugen; and his niece Brenda Darling (Jans).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Marihart; his son Doug Jans (Nicole) of Granite Falls, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Emry, Kiptyn and Landry; and his siblings, Harold Jans (Rita), Rodney Jans (Martha), Larry Jans (Sue) and Faye Harms. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar St. Joseph Catholic Church (512 Black Oak Ave, Montevideo, MN 56265).
