He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Wik and Mabel Wik (Whitman); his wife Alta Lynne; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Lynne, Gene Christenson and Mike Warner.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Kanten (Jon), Milan, Julie Swenson (Mike), Dawson and Dave Wik (Julie); his grandchildren, Sarah Wientjes (Kenny), Tyler Kanten, Nikki Paradis (Drew), Kelly Emmerich (Tom), Ryan Swenson (Justine), Jordan Wik, Christian Kanten (Katherine Knudson) and Payton Wik (Ethan DeKam); his great grandchildren, Logan Wientjes, Willow Kanten, Isaac Paradis, Micah Paradis, Caleb Paradis, Sam Emmerich, Ben Emmerich and Owen Swenson; and his sister Margaret Warner.
He made significant contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church as a member and fulfilled various roles on the church council.
