He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigvold Heggestad and Alma Heggestad; his wife Janice Glisky of Savior's Lutheran Church; and his son Scott Heggestad. He is survived by: his children, Mark Heggestad (Darlene) of Jacksonville, Florida, Chad Heggestad (Jennifer) of Kimball, Minnesota, Missy Streich (Les) of Kimball, Minnesota and Jason Heggestad (Charleanna) of Granite Falls, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Cody Blum, Jurnee Hastings, Alex Heggestad, Sidney Heggestad, Kailee Heggestad, Fallon Cosgrove, Natasha Peterson, Chantel Heggestad, Matt Heggestad, Sofia Streich, Yvette Jones, Michael Allen and Brianna Iverson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the TeBeest Funeral Home (845 US-212, Granite Falls, MN 56241). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
