He was predeceased by : his parents, Rudolph Bakken and Minnie Bakken (Running); his siblings, Sherman Bakken (Darlene) and Beth; and his pet Rosie.

He is survived by : his siblings, Ardis Lillestol (Jake) of Fergus Falls, MN, Monica Brown (Cecil) of Conway, SC, Donna Schuelke (Joseph) of Marshall, MN, Bruce Bakken (Gloria) of Lake Zurich, IL and Glen Bakken (Linda) of Aitkin, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
