He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clarence and Emma Stasney (Heyda); and his siblings, Celia Harn, Alice Stoekel, Evelyn Felix, Lillian Chodek and Clarence Stasney.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Stasney of Montgomery; his children, John "Jack" Stasney (Patty) of Jordan, Bruce Stasney (Mary) of New Prague, Russ Stasney (Debbie) of Montgomery, Scott Stasney (Julie Bifano) of Montgomery and Dean Stasney (Catherine) of Montgomery; and his grandchildren, John "Jack" Jr. Stasney (Courtney), Lindsey Nelson (Jake), Luke Stasney, Ellen Kelly (Matt), Matt Stasney (Jamie), Meghann Malecha (Kevin), Pete Stasney (Colleen), Nichole Tuma (Kyle), Katelyn Johnson (Miles), Thaddeus Stasney (Veronica), Jayden Stasney (Lucy Lannon) and Anastasia Stasney. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
