He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Susan Schmitz (Gerald) of Brooten, Francis Rynda (Theresa) of Montgomery, Daniel Rynda (Michelle) of New Prague, Dorothy Kopp (Lee) of Plum City and Edith Armenti (Dominick Kevin) of Otsego; his grandchildren, Matt Schmitz (Tessa Halvorson), Zach Schmitz (Amber), Kendra Dehmer (Luke) and Luke Schmitz; his children, Isaac Rynda (Brittney), Rachel Scheffler (Owen), Noah Rynda, Levi Rynda, Allison Rynda, Adam Rynda, Madelyn Kopp and David Kopp; his brothers, Milo Rynda of New Prague and Giles Rynda of Hastings; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Rynda of Montgomery, Bernard Zach (Betty) of Seneca, Wisconsin, Donald Zach of Seneca, Wisconsin and Paul Zach of Seneca, Wisconsin; English. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home (200 3rd St SE, Montgomery, MN 56069). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (206 Vine Ave W, Montgomery, MN 56069). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery.
He enjoyed playing the harmonica, listening to polka music, reading, spending time in prayer, and cracking black walnuts to share with family and friends and donate to church festivals.
