He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Andrew, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Rivers (Jones); and his brothers, Tim, Mike and Ken Rivers.
He is survived by: his wife Monika Jean Moran of Le Sueur; his brother Steve (Marlene Rivers) of Port St; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Rivers, Marylou Rivers and Jenny Rivers; and his cousin Judy Davis. He is also survived by step-son; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
