He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Murphy and Mabel Rose Murphy; his wife Cora Ann; and his siblings, James Murphy, Veronica Sonnek (Louie), Mary Goebel (Leon), Marjorie Staloch (Edward), Donnie Wingert (Jim), Ella Mae Embertson (Harlan), Lois Raaen (Emmett), Bernie Wilke (Norman), Rita Garrey (Kenneth), Jean Ruhland and Eileen Roozen (John).
He is survived by: his children, Craig Murphy (Julie), Kurt Murphy (Rita), Shawn Murphy (Paula) and Jen Meyer (Aaron); his grandchildren, Ryan Murphy, Devin Murphy, Josh Murphy, Jake Murphy and Gavin Murphy; his great grandchildren, Taytum Murphy, Paxton Murphy, Cillian Murphy and Niamh Murphy; his brother-in-law Victorin Ruhland; and also, Jim and Linda Hutton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the family for distribution to the nurses and aids who cared for Tom.
