He was predeceased by : his wife Elizabeth Ann Flaherty (Betty) of Edward's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Fred Holthaus, Marie Wurm (Timothy), Richard Holthaus, Raymond Holthaus and Lucielle Holthaus.

He is survived by : his children, Ann Mork (John), Rose Mills (Rick), Patricia Holthaus, James Holthaus (Sue), Paul Holthaus, Mary Swift (George), Joseph Holthaus (Janice), Gerald Holthaus (Lisa), Daniel Holthaus (Kathleen), Robert Holthaus (Mineko) and Donald Holthaus; his sisters, Bernice Bursch and Leona Henson; and his sisters-in-law, Irmina Holthaus and Annella Holthaus. He is also survived by many grand children, great grand children; nieces and nephews.
