He is survived by: his siblings, Melba Simonson (Ron), Maria Salminen, Sara Davis, Carol Salminen, George Peter Salminen (Cindy), Richard Salminen, Eva Stockton and Ruth Mueller; his children, Charles (Jen), Christopher (Jennifer), Rebecca (Terry), Jason (Evangela) and Joel (Heather); his grandchildren, Jack, Brooke, Jake, Erik, Ethan, Sam, Georgia, Brandon, Andrew and Lily; and his sister-in-law Joni Saari. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages others to honor Roy's memory by spending time with those they love.
