He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Brendemuhl and Alice Brendemuhl (Johnson); his wife Diana Brendemuhl; his son Michael Brendemuhl; his stepdaughter Kathy Ann Niemi; and his brothers, Warren Brendemuhl (Marie) and Morton Brendemuhl (Janice).
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Okke (Kurt) of Hawley, MN, Alden Paul Brendemuhl Jr. (Chris) of Lake Park, MN and Linda Brendemuhl of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Wayne Niemi (Meagan), Michelle Hensel (Payne), Jana Kensok (Andrew), Kyle Okke (Samantha), Korey Okke, Kasey Okke (Jessica), Autumn Brendemuhl, Ethan Brendemuhl (Christina), Winter Brekhus (Preston) and Shelby Heinz; and his sister Eleanor Fischer (Jim). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
