With sadness, we share the passing of Cherilyn R. Hersrud of Moorhead, Minnesota. Cherilyn, born on October 5, 1949 in Miles City, Montana, passed away on September 17, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cherilyn R. Hersrud to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Emme and Margaret Emme (Stoen); her sister Jan Schwindt; and her in-laws, Don and Othelia Hersrud.
She is survived by: her husband Doug Hersrud of Moorhead; her children, Travis Hersrud (Nikki) and Anna Halvorson (Mark) of Glyndon; her grandchildren, Lucas, Gracie Hersrud, Addie and Ian Halvorson; and her siblings, Dave Emme (Patty) of Reno, NV, Annette Shotwell (John) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Diane Johnson (Tom) of Fargo, ND. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home - Moorhead (605 2nd Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home - Moorhead Starts (605 2nd Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560).
