Crystal Joyce Utke Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Crystal Joyce Utke (Moorhead, Minnesota), born in Park River, North Dakota, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewell Severson and Hazel Severson; her husband Reinie Utke; her brother Lyle; her sister-in-law Kathy Severson; and her nephew Jon Tollefson.

She is survived by: her children, Blair Tollefson of Raleigh, NC, Jill Swantz (Stephen) and James Tollefson St (Bethany); her grandchildren, Samuel, Emily Swantz, Lukas, Paul and Leah Tollefson; and her friend Lloyd Gunderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran church, Crystal served on church council, the Foundation board, and various committees and small groups.
