He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Possehl and Esther Possehl (Johnson); his wife Margery; his granddaughter Esther Scholl; and his sisters, Dolores Kupka and Jackie Steg.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Scholl (Jeff), White, Christie Possehl of Monument, CO, Polly Preston (John) of Hermosa, SD and Sara Forness (Bradly) of West Fargo, ND. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
