He was predeceased by: his fathers, George Olmstead and Gene Olmstead; his wife Noelle Ardis Erickson of Harwood, ND; and his close friend Marlene Duffney of Moorhead. He is survived by: his sons, Steven (Dee Eckman), Kevin (Colleen Gibson) and Brian (Paula Olmstead); and his grandchildren, Brein Haugen (Pete) of Portland, ND, Stephanie Olmstead, Fargo, Jeff Olmstead, Grand Forks, Paige Olmstead (Jacob Denn) and John Olmstead. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
