She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswald Getz and Marilyn Getz (Poppel); her former husband Chuck; her daughter Denise; her grandson Trevor; her stepfather Arthur Blilie; her sisters, Dorothy Kuehl (Jerome) and Dianna Brendemuehl (Alden); and her brother-in-law Helmuth Leske.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Askegaard; her children, Dale Askegaard, Pam Braton (Jim) of Barnesville and Sue Suchla (Steve) of Moorhead; her grandchildren, Jared, Dustin (Jessica), Jordan, Lindsay, Dylan, Nathan Askegaard, Amber Blilie (Cory), Casey Braton (Carrie), Brandi Benson (Brian) and Shane Braton (Lauryn); and her siblings, Dennis Getz (Jane) of Wolverton, MN and Carol Leske of West Fargo, ND.. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hoff Lutheran Church (10979 18th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
