In the vast expanse of eternity, Gary shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gary farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilly Halmrast and Gerhard Halmrast; and his brother Timothy Bjorn Halmrast. He is survived by: his wife Rose Schroeder; his mother-in-law DeVone Jokstad; his siblings, Lynn Halmrast (Rae), Dale Halmrast (Collette) and Sonja Knutson (Paul); his brothers-in-law, Roger Hendriks and Richard Hendriks; and his father-in-law Cal Jokstead. He is also survived by several step-children and step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren.
