It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel E. Fankhanel of Moorhead, Minnesota, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edwards and Marie Edwards (Evert); her husband John "Jack" Fankhanel; her great grandchild Taylor Babolian; her siblings, Dennis Edwards, Margaret Thompson and Lorraine Brakke; her siblings-in-law, Steven Thompson, Jr., Orris Brakke, Robert Iken, Donald Brakke, Edward Sellent, Sr. and Barbara Sellent; and her nephews, Edward Sellent, Jr. and James Sellent.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Lohse (Robert) of Fargo, ND and Patricia Dahl (Robert) of Pelican Rapids, MN; her grandchildren, Natalie Brownlee (Troy), Olivia Babolian, Christopher Dahl (Amanda), Michael Dahl, Emily Welder (Jellay) and Julia Morsching (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Brooke Larsen, Jordan Larsen (Callie), Elizabeth, Gaven Babolian, Cayden Aarseth, Hayden, Charlotte, William Dahl, Macy, Aubrey, Kloe Welder, Leilyn and Decker Morsching; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Zack of Justice, TJ and Mackenzie Brownlee; her sisters, Dorothy Brakke and Beatrice Iken; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Edwards.
During Covid 19, she lived with one her twin daughters, Patty Dahl, on Crystal Lake.
Memorials will be given to Pelican Valley Senior Living and the American Heart Association.
