He was predeceased by: his mother Cecilia "Chee Chee" Posch; and his daughter-in-law Caitlin Posch. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Christopher Posch (Courtney), Ryan Posch (Kayla), Michael Posch (Jennifer Lymburner) and Jenna Knutzen (Brenton); his grandchildren, Lana, Capri, Violet, Graham, William, Ashton, Hayes and Knutzen; his father James Posch; his siblings, Tim Posch (Connie), Cindy Baltes (Terry), Rob Posch (Mandy), Tom Posch (Katie), Donny Posch (Tina), Teresa Mergens (Paul), Tammy Balerud (Brian) and Cecilia "Honey" Bjerke (Kenny); and his in-laws, Herbie, Rosie Welle, Reggie Welle (Ann), Randy Welle (Gloria), Lisa Ohmann (Eddie) and Ron Welle (Patty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center, Sanford Fargo Hospice, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, or St. Joseph's Catholic School.
