It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Kern of Moorhead, Minnesota, born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Turner and Merlin Turner (Peschl); her husband Ken; her son Rich; and her siblings, Chrysanne, Marlys, Alyce, Mary and John.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Kern (AnnaMarie), East, Rob Kern of Sabin, MN, Karen Enkers (Wes) of Doran, MN, Philip Kern (Sue) of Moorhead, Keith "Greaser" Kern of Moorhead and Mike Kern (Stephanie) of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Logan (Sarah), Nolan (Nadia), Katie, Ben, Robbie (Brittni), Scott (Anna), Aaron, Kelsey (Josh), Jon (Ruth Safi), Dillon (McKenzie), Erika, Josie, Morgan, Dallas (Angel), Kailey and Parker; her great grandchildren, Arlo, Ophelia, Cooper, Paislee, Rhett, Haddie, Lida, Willow, Hank, Conway, Gordon, Eddie and Kyluh; her siblings, Sue Hayden (Russ) of Chicago, IL, Nancy Turner of Willmar, MN, Donna McDowell (Mike) of Becker, MN and Elwin Jr. Turner (Koren) of Sherburne, MN; and her sister-in-law Linda Kern of Elk River, MN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
