He was predeceased by : his parents, John Monroe and Gertrude Monroe (Blanchard); his parents-in-law, George and Liela Gee; his brother Jim Monroe; his sisters-in-law, Helen and Janny Monroe; and his son Joe Monroe.
He is survived by : his wife Nancy Monroe (Gee); his children, Jerry of Moorhead, MN, Peggy Monroe of Moorhead, MN and Susan Kellet (Bryan) of Mayville, ND; his daughter-in-law Coleen Monroe; his brother Tom Monroe of Anchorage, AK; and his children, Chris, Ian and Lee. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
